Curtain call…

With the well worn cat perch and Jenne’s aunt’s beautiful hand made glass bowl.

It started like this….

Fabric is from IKEA. It is so sheer that it is practically just the suggestion of curtains. Its light enough to hang with push pins. The soft interior light is nice.

Swap Meet Fabric Style.

Now that was fun. Meeting up at BPL with 40 or so sewing champs. What a cool group and sew inspiring. I went away with 7 items from my stash and came home with material for several new projects.

Also found this panel with goddesses on it. Ideas are clanking around in my mind….

Sewing. Lots of sewing.

I started as a wee tyke, watching mom. I made doll clothes from her scraps. My college major turned out to be art with a Textiles emphasis. After many years being stymied and frustrated with  a hundred dollar singer, I at last invested in a Juki workhorse. 2.5 years ago. Since then I have made about 40 shirts. T shirts and button downs. Other things too like jackets, skirts, dog beds, quilts, whatever….sewing has become a major fascination for me.

One of my favorites.
